Each client keeps its own chart of accounts, opening balances and posted ledger.
Upload a bank statement to code
Each transaction becomes a row to code double-entry. The bank leg is pre-filled; set the other account. Deposits: Dr Bank · Cr income. Withdrawals: Dr expense · Cr Bank. Suggestions come from the narration — always check them.
Opening balances
For a continuing entity (not the first year), enter the opening balance of each balance-sheet account — assets as Debit, liabilities & equity (including Retained Earnings) as Credit. Debits must equal credits. You can also upload a prior-year closing trial balance to fill these in.
